Dodgers manager Dave Roberts trusted embattled closer Kenley Jansen to finish out a Game 4 win on Saturday night despite obvious recent warning signs of Jansen’s decline.
Jansen issued a free pass and allowed two hits, including the walk-off single from Brett Phillips that gave the Rays an 8-7 comeback victory.
The World Series is now tied 2-2 heading into Game 5 on Sunday.
